AKA Activated Carbon, Activated Charcoal est administré par voie orale pour absorber certains médicaments ou toxines afin de prévenir ou de réduire leur absorption systémique. Cela réduit la gravité des signes cliniques et physiologiques associés au poison que l'animal a récemment ingéré.
Habituellement administré après le lavage gastrique (pompage de l'estomac), le charbon actif agit en absorbant les produits chimiques, pour réduire la toxicité, sur toute la longueur de l'estomac et des intestins et on estime qu'il réduit l'absorption des substances toxiques jusqu'à 60 %.

MIXING MALDISON 50
MALDISON 50 gives a spontaneous emulsion in water and may be added directly to the water in the spray vat with the agitators running. Mixes readily with hard or soft water.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
- MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.
- MILK: Milk collected from treated animals within 5 hours following treatment must not be used for human consumption or processing. This milk should not be fed to poddy calves.
- EGGS: NIL

When opening the container and preparing the spray wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves and a face shield. If product is on skin, immediately wash area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.
